Bethel Gospel Chapel is an assembly of Christians knows as Brethren and is affiliated with the Christian Brethren Churches in the province of Quebec. The Brethren meet in simple fashion without ritual, robes or procession to celebrate the Lord’s Supper every Lord’s Day (Sunday) in remembrance of the Lord Jesus Christ, to preach the gospel, to teach and study the holy scriptures. They value the Christian fellowship and endeavour to follow the teachings of the Lord Jesus. The Church was incorporated in 1972 under the name Bethel Gospel Chapel Montreal Inc.

STATEMENT OF FAITH
God the Father
We believe in God the Father Almighty, that He is the only true God (Isaiah 44:6 & Isaiah 45:6), that He is the Author of life and Maker of all things.
The Son of God
We believe that Jesus Christ is God’s only Son (John 3:16), that He was Conceived of the Holy Spirit and was born of the Virgin Mary. That He was deity and incapable of committing sin, but came into the world to take the sin of mankind upon Himself by dying on the cross so that man believing on Him might be saved from sin ( 2 Corinthians 5:21 & Acts 16:31)
The Holy Spirit
We believe that God sent the Holy Spirit into the world to comfort those who believe on Him (John 14:16 & 17) and to teach, guide and direct them.
The Trinity
We believe that God the Father, His Son, The Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit comprise the Godhead; that they are three equal personalities, yet one God (Matthew 28:19).
The Bible
We believe that the Bible (66 books: Genesis to Revelation) is the Word of God. That God chose holy men to write the scriptures as they were led by the Holy Spirit (2 Peter 1: 20 & 21). We believe the Bible to be verbally inspired (2 Timothy 3:16) and that it is inerrant and reveals the mind of God.
Man
We believe that man was created by God in innocence, but that Adam and Eve sinned when tempted and that everyone who came into the world inherited Adam’s sinful nature, so that everyone has been born a sinner and entered the world alienated from the life of God (Romans 5:12).
Salvation
We believe that mankind can be saved from sin and its consequences only by Jesus Christ (Acts 16:31 & Acts 4:10 & 12).
Baptism
We believe that those who believe in the Lord Jesus should be baptized by immersion (Acts 2:41).
Return of Jesus Christ
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ who rose from the dead and ascended into heaven will come again to take believers away and then return with them to judge the world and to reign upon the earth.
Christian Deportment
We believe that Christians should live to bring glory to God, that their behaviour should be upright and blameless among all people, that their dealings with everyone should be honest, that their interaction with all should characterize by grace thus “adorning the doctrine of God, our Saviour”, in all things.
